- Since its opening in 1999, the Toskana Therme in Bad Sulza, Thuringia, has been a crowd-puller. Visitors experience the concept of Liquid Sound® - bathing in light and music in the pools of the thermal bath filled with body-warm brine water. This is an invention of the media artist Prof. Micky Remann, cultural director of Toskanaworld and honorary professor for immersive media at the Bauhaus University Weimar. Liquid Sound® is a computer-controlled multimedia system for the use of light above and sound under water. In the year 2000, the Toskana Therme with Liquid Sound® was an official project of the EXPO 2000. In the same year, the New York Times called it one of the best 100 spas world-wide. (Publication Toskanaworld, 2018) - The Toskana Therme Bad Sulza belongs to Toskanaworld, a group of companies which is active in the health and wellness industry as well as in the hotel and catering industry. In the health resorts Bad Sulza, Bad Schandau and Bad Orb the group operates the Toskana Thermen with the bath concept Liquid Sound® - bathing in light and music. In addition, the Bad Sulza Clinic Centre, the Hotel an der Therme Bad Orb as well as the Hotel Resort Schloss Auerstedt and the Hotel "Zum Ritter" in Fulda are also bundled under the umbrella brand. With the Hotel Elbresidenz at the Bad Schandau spa, a five-star hotel was added to the range of health and relaxation facilities in 2016.
