2.8 mio Euros invested into traditional Thuringian brand
06-18-2017 - The company Gutena Nahrungsmittel GmbH from Apolda has invested 2.8 mio Euros into their production facility. The newly built logistic terminal with high-rack warehouse will make the dispatch more efficient and save costs because of the extended storage area. About 80,000 packets of "Filinchen" are leaving the factory every day. On the new production line an additional type of bread with innovative flavor will be produced and soon be available in the supermarkets.
Started 20 years ago with its production plant in the industrial area in Apolda, the company has been growing continuously. The so-called crisp bread "Filinchen" - invented by a baker 60 years ago - has become increasingly popular inside, as well as outside of Germany. Today 45 employees are charged with bringing out 14 different types of Filinchen crisp bread. The traditional Thuringian product was recently awarded "Top Marke" again due to rising demand and increasing sales. Last but not least, the investment improves the energy efficiency of the company's activities.back
