Eastern German Research will be generously subsidized by Federal Ministry
Today, the Federal Research Minister Annette Schavan presented the new incentive program "Twenty20 - Partnership for Innovation" in Dresden. From 2013 to 2019 the total sum of 500 mio Euro will be made available by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research for the support of joint research projects. This incentive program aims at developing internationally attractive research locations, where sience and industry cooperate for designing innovative products and creating future-oriented jobs.
Eastern German bears great research potential. Success stories have to be secured and further developed. This is a chance for Germany as a whole. In addition, the Ministry will assist in finding the right partners by setting up a special data base. In June 2013 the evaluation of the submitted concepts will be completed. Thuringian research institutes will be among the applicants with interesting projects.back
