US-company invests in the industrial area at the Leipzig-Altenburg Airport
11/17/2017 - The US-American online car dealer Copart is building a new facility in Nobitz, Eastern Thuringia. About 50 up to 70 jobs will be created in the long run.
Copart Deutschland GmbH plans to invest Euro 11.6 mio in a new location for the company's increasing European sales. Copart will buy a 10 ha plot of land which the State Development Corporation (LEG Thüringen) have prepared for investors.
Especially the excellent infrastructure, the ideal location in the center of the three federal states Thuringia, Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt as well as the availability of large developed industrial sites are the reasons to located in Nobitz - in the heart of Germany and Europe. "We are happy to have found this location and will foster our German-wide business from here and thus enlarge the service to our customers" says Alain van Münster, General Manager of Copart.
Copart is a NASDAQ listed company with 200 subsidiaries and about 5,000 employees world-wide. The company has specialized in the online resale of cars (especially cars involved in accidents) for insurances, finance service providers, car rentals etc. According to the company's own information about 2.5 mio cars are traded annually in more than ten countries.
