Object

The company operates on the one hand as a holding company and on the other hand as an advertising company. As a management and financial holding company with a central service area for its investment companies, the company is responsible for the corporate management and control of the operating investment companies. It represents these companies as a whole to the outside world. In addition, as a service holding company, the company offers its investment companies and third parties with its central service area various services, including in the fields of business administration, IT and innovation management, as well as activities in the field of hiring-out of employees. As an advertising company, the company markets advertising and sponsorship in broadcasting (television and radio) for the Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk (MDR) and cooperating broadcasters. Within this framework, it also plans and carries out advertising and marketing activities within the framework of the Public Relations and Self-Promotion of the MDR, which are capable of promoting the company's activities and the programmatic and economic interests of the MDR and the cooperating broadcasters. If necessary, the company, together with the other ARD advertising companies, shall provide programme contributions in accordance with the relevant ARD regulations. The organisation of advertising television and radio broadcasts, including all broadcasting matters, remains the exclusive responsibility of the MDR under broadcasting law. The Company must comply with the applicable guidelines for the conduct of radio and television advertising. The company continues to work in the production and exploitation of audiovisual programmes and multimedia applications, the development of new media-related activities and the provision, leasing and leasing of studio facilities and offices for film, television and other audiovisual productions.
