Object
The purpose of the society is the promotion of a) public health and public health care, b) education, popular and vocational training including student assistance, c) welfare, d) science and research. The purpose is achieved in particular through the operation of hospitals and all related appropriate facilities (including dormitories). This also includes the training institutions as well as the measures of scientific and other hospital-related further education and training. The operation of a hospital includes inpatient and semi-inpatient as well as pre- and post-inpatient hospital services, outpatient treatment as well as rehabilitation, nursing and medical-technical and physical services. A hospital may continue to operate or participate in medical care centres as interdisciplinary medical facilities as well as outpatient and inpatient hospice facilities. Other forms of medical care are open to the company or its institutions, insofar as they are legally permitted. The company also provides pastoral services for patients and staff as well as appropriately equipped premises for this purpose.
