For this purpose, the company is in particular entitled to promote Jena as a business and science location, to advise and support companies, institutes and facilities interested in settling in the procurement of land, in the placement of workers and in the acquisition of subsidies. The society performs coordination tasks in the field of municipal promotion of business and science, builds up and maintains information systems. It is integrated into local and supra-local planning processes and, in agreement with its shareholders, accompanies industrial and commercial settlements in the area of the city of Jena.
