The joint stands were located in Hall 15 (MedTech & Devices) and Hall 3 (Laboratory & Diagnostics). Visitors explored cutting-edge innovations developed in Thuringia, from advanced diagnostic devices to next-generation laboratory technologies. Highlights included the AVATAR project for the anonymized use of sensitive health data. Other partners such as BLINK AG, Applyo Jena, and Analytik Jena presented innovations in photonics, diagnostics, and digital medical technology. State Secretary for Economics Mario Suckert visited both joint stands to learn firsthand about industry trends and developments.
MEDICA 2025 hosted around 5,000 exhibitors from more than 70 countries and attracted approximately 80,000 trade visitors. Thuringia’s strong presence at the trade fair underscores the region’s potential and innovative strength in medical technology, diagnostics, and research – and its status as a leading life sciences hub. According to LEG’s company database, the sector in Thuringia comprises around 600 companies with 30,000 employees and is supported by more than 5,000 students, four universities, and 14 research institutions.
