The vacant building that formerly housed the “Altenburger Hof” hotel has been comprehensively modernized. The operating company behind the new hotel, Habitels Hospitality Service & Management GmbH, is targeting both business travelers and tourists and is expanding local accommodation capacity with one of the region’s largest and most modern hotels.
The property offers 144 contemporary rooms, services that meet international Best Western standards, and eight rooms for meetings and events with up to 80 participants. Amenities also include a fitness area and a gaming room. Thanks to the hotel’s location in Altenburg, guests benefit from its proximity to the historic old town, cultural attractions, and the regional business community.
The investment reflects confidence in Altenburger Land’s continued growth as a tourism and business hub. The new hotel noticeably improves the local infrastructure, particularly for companies, event organizers, and visitors from Germany and abroad. At the same time, the project creates new jobs and strengthens local value creation.
